China’s A00 aluminium ingot price reflects Y-o-Y surge of 10.61%; Low-carbon aluminium price slumps to RMB 21035/t

Following a growth the previous day, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price declined by RMB 90 per tonne. The price as of today settled at RMB 20,210 per tonne, with the average price standing between RMB 20,190 per tonne and RMB 20,230 per tonne. The spot contract price may be traded at a discount price of RMB 60 to RMB 20 per tonne.

The A00 aluminium ingot prices recorded a Y-o-Y surge of RMB 1,940 per tonne or 10.61 per cent and a growth of RMB 80 per tonne or 0.39 per cent W-o-W from RMB 18,270 per tonne and RMB 20,290 per tonne.

Region-wise price change

As per the data, the prices have dwindled in all the provinces, with the highest in Tianjin, which has contracted by RMB 110 per tonne to peg at RMB 20,230 per tonne. On the same day, the prices in Wuxi and Hangzhou have slumped by RMB 90 per tonne to dock at RMB 20,210 per tonne. In regions like Gongyi and Chongqing, the SMM A00 aluminium ingot prices have declined by RMB 80 per tonne and RMB 70 per tonne to arrive at RMB 20,080 per tonne and RMB 20,180 per tonne. In Shenyang and Linyi, the prices have descended by RMB 70 per tonne, settling at RMB 20,250 per tonne and RMB 20,300 per tonne. In Foshan the price has decreased by RMB 40 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,090 per tonne.

Other prices

The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has lost RMB 38 per tonne to arrive at RMB 21,035 per tonne. The prices of high-purity aluminium (99.99%) and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) have dwindled by RMB 100 per tonne to halt at RMB 27,600 per tonne and RMB 28,600 per tonne. As per the data, the Australian alumina FOB price has inched down by RMB 1 per tonne to settle at RMB 493 per tonne.

Aluminium alloy prices

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has slumped by RMB 100 per tonne to reach RMB 20,650 per tonne, with the average prices between RMB 20,500 per tonne and RMB 20,800 per tonne. As per the data, on the same day, both aluminium alloy (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) remained unchanged at RMB 20,000 per tonne and RMB 21,000 per tonne.
