On Friday, May 17, the A00 aluminium ingot price in China has gained RMB 40 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,720 per tonne, with the spot contract price expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 100 to RMB 60 per tonne. On the same day, the average prices may orbit between RMB 20,700 per tonne and RMB 20,740 per tonne.
{alcircleadd}As per the SMM data, the price surged by RMB 2,330 per tonne Y-o-Y from RMB 18,390 per tonne recorded on May 17 2023. As of today, the prices have ascended in all the provinces. In Shenyang, Tianjin and Linyi the prices have added RMB 40 per tonne to rest at RMB 20,640 per tonne, RMB 20,670 per tonne and RMB 20,720 per tonne.
In Chongqing and Gongyi the A00 aluminium ingot prices have grown by RMB 20 per tonne to stand at RMB 20,650 per tonne and RMB 20,610 per tonne. On the same day, the prices in Foshan, Wuxi and Hangzhou have hiked by RMB 30 per tonne to clock at RMB 20,640 per tonne and RMB 20,710 per tonne. The domestic price of low carbon aluminium has expanded by RMB 25 per tonne to arrive at RMB 21,653 per tonne.
The prices of high purity aluminium (99.99%) and high purity aluminium (99.996%) have both remained unchanged at RMB 28,100 per tonne and RMB 29,100 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has increased by RMB 50 per tonne to settle at RMB 21,250 per tonne with the average prices standing between RMB 21,100 per tonne and RMB 21,400 per tonne.
