China’s A00 aluminium ingot price contracts by RMB160/t; Low carbon aluminium price slumps to RMB19,938/t

On Monday, September 18, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price has dropped by RMB 160 per tonne to close at RMB 19,380 per tonne, with the average prices standing between RMB 19,360 per tonne and RMB 19,400 per tonne. The spot contract prices may be traded at a premium price of RMB 200 to RMB 240 per tonne.

As per the SMM data, the prices in Foshan, Wuxi and Hangzhou have fallen by RMB 160 per tonne to peg at RMB 19,160 per tonne and RMB 19,380 per tonne, respectively. On the same day, the domestic aluminium ingot prices slipped by RMB 140 per tonne to halt at RMB 19,270 per tonne and RMB 19,320 per tonne. The prices in Gongyi and Linyi have dropped by RMB 120 per tonne and RMB 110 per tonne to settle at RMB 19,280 per tonne and RMB19,380 per tonne. In Tianjin, the price has descended by RMB 80 per tonne to peg at RMB19,410 per tonne.

The domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has also contracted by RMB 152 per tonne to score at RMB 19,938 per tonne. On the same day, the Shanghai Metals Market reported that the average alumina spot price has increased by RMB 2 per tonne to peg at RMB 2,935 per tonne, followed by a growth of RMB 5 per tonne in Shandong and Henan to come in at RMB 2,915 per tonne and RMB 2,950 per tonne.

The high-purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high-purity aluminium (99.996%) price have slumped by RMB 200 per tonne to settle at RMB 26,800 per tonne and RMB 27,800 per tonne. The aluminium powder price has lost US$0.1 per kg to clock at RMB 21.3 per kg, with the average prices circulating between RMB 21.2 per kg and RMB 21.4 per kg.

The price of aluminium alloy (A356) has dropped by RMB 150 per tonne to clock at RMB 20,000 per tonne, with the average prices expected to range between RMB 19,800 per tonne and RMB 20,200 per tonne. The price of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) has slipped by RMB 50 per tonne to close at RMB 19,600 per tonne, with the average prices expected to range between RMB 19,800 per tonne and RMB 20,200 per tonne and RMB 20,500 per tonne and RMB 20,700 per tonne.
