China’s A00 aluminium ingot price augments by RMB110/t midweek closing at RMB19370/t; Australian alumina FOB price drops by US$3/t

A00 aluminium ingot price has further heightened by RMB 110 per tonne for the third consecutive day to come in at RMB 19,370 per tonne, as recorded by the Shanghai Metals Market on Wednesday, June 29. The average prices are expected to range between RMB 19,350 per tonne and RMB 19,390 per tonne, with spot contracts to be traded at a discount price of RMB 30 per tonne and premium price of RMB 10 per tonne.

The provinces in China have measured upstream prices today, with A00 aluminium ingot price rising the highest in Wuxi, Hangzhou and Tianjin by RMB 110 per tonne to RMB 19,340 per tonne, RMB 19,400 per tonne, and RMB 19,330 per tonne.  The primary aluminium price in Foshan has gained RMB 80 per tonne to rest at RMB 19,330 per tonne, while the price in Chongqing and Gongyi has grown by RMB 40 per tonne to halt at RMB 19,350 per tonne and RMB 19,210 per tonne, respectively. Linyi has seen RMB 80 per tonne hike in the ingot price to RMB 19,390 per tonne, and Shenyang has witnessed RMB 70 per tonne rise to RMB 19,300 per tonne.

In China, the domestic price of low-carbon aluminium has expanded by RMB 70 per tonne to stand at RMB 19,944 per tonne on Wednesday, June 29.

According to the data shown by SMM, high purity aluminium (99.99%) price and high purity aluminium (99.996%) price have augmented by RMB 100 per tonne each to rest at RMB 27,400 per tonne and RMB 28,400 per tonne, respectively.

The Australian alumina FOB price has declined by US$3 per tonne to close at US$368 per tonne today.

The aluminium alloy (A356) price has shot up by RMB 100 per tonne arriving at RMB 20,400 per tonne. The average prices are likely to range between RMB 20,300 per tonne and RMB 20,500 per tonne, says SMM.

The prices of aluminium alloys (ADC12) and aluminium alloy (A380) have, however, shown no difference.

The aluminium powder price in China has gained RMB 0.10 per kg to settle at RMB 21.1 per kg, with average prices to range between RMB 21 per kg and 21.2 per kg.
