Riffa, Kingdom of Bahrain – 1 September 2025:
Body Works has commissioned a new solar power system at its Riffa facility, delivered by Midal Solar (a subsidiary of Midal Cables), the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. The initiative supports the company’s strategy to improve efficiency and environmental responsibility, while aligning with the Kingdom’s vision to bring carbon emissions to net zero by 2060.
The system, installed across rooftop and carpark structures, has a total capacity of 222 kWp. It is expected to generate 360,000 kWh of green electricity annually, cutting over 255 tons of CO₂ emissions each year.
Mr. Khalid Hamid Alzayani, Managing Director, said:
“Integrating renewable energy into our operations is an important milestone for Body Works. This system will provide dependable clean energy while significantly reducing our annual emissions. It allows us to keep delivering high-quality automotive services with greater efficiency and responsibility.”
Mr. Mahmood Shamlooh, General Manager of Body Works, added:
“This new system not only enhances our commitment to environmental stewardship but also strengthens our capability to provide top-notch automotive services while minimizing our carbon footprint.
