Continuing their momentum from the 2024 collaboration, global packaging solution manufacturing firm CANPACK Group and Polish-based brewing firm Grupa Żywiec, part of the Heineken Group, have now made another imprint in the fabric of Polish festival culture with an actual, collectible representation for fans. Specifically for the 2025 Polish musical festival, Męskie Granie, eight beautiful can designs embodying the thrill of the tour through the cities of Warsaw, Kraków, Gdańsk, and Żywiec have been launched.
This year's designs, made possible by CANPACK's Quadromix printing, allow for four variations of each design – all in one run, maximising efficiency and enhancing creativity. The designs capture both the energy of life in Polish cities and imagery under the lens of visual artist Marcin Czaja, known for murals that combine humour with social observations.
Creative freedom through seamless production
“Working with CANPACK once again was a natural choice,” said Ewa Stefanowicz, Żywiec Brand Manager. “Following the success of our collaboration with Andrzej Pągowski, this time we focused on the cities where the Męskie Granie tour takes place, highlighting their unique character with a touch of the humour that’s so typical of Żywiec. These cans are more than packaging. They’re a collectible part of the experience.”
For CANPACK, the project showcases how packaging can strengthen cultural connections. “Quadromix helps brands go beyond a single visual narrative,” explained Michał Schilbach, Global Marketing Manager at CANPACK. “It enables full creative freedom across multiple designs, all within one seamless production process. We're proud to see it used again by Żywiec to elevate their festival connection and bring consumers closer to the brand."
Expansion to meet rising demand
While the creative aspect of the partnership is making the news, CANPACK is also investing significant resources to support production capacity. The company announced the groundbreaking of a PLN 440 million (USD 120.69 million) expansion of its aluminium can plant in Bydgoszcz, Poland, in collaboration with the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone. The expansion will add more than 100 new employees to the current staff of 470. ALSTAL Grupa Budowlana is leading the construction process.
The upgrade will boost output by more than one billion cans annually, positioning CANPACK to serve growing European demand. “CANPACK’s latest investment project, valued at approximately PLN 440 million, reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to the development of Poland’s packaging sector and is focused on meeting the growing demand from its European customers,” said Marian Miskov, Member of the Management Board of CANPACK S.A. and Regional Director for Poland. He noted that production operations should begin in Q2 2026.
