Xiaomi launches second generation Yuemi mechanical keyboard with aluminium alloy body
The Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has recently unveiled the second-generation 87-key Yuemi mechanical board featuring aluminium alloy body. It comes with a price tag of RMB 299 price tag ($42). The first generation of Yuemi mechanical board launched in October 2016 had also come with 87 keys and price tag RMB 299.
In the second generation, the 87 keycaps are made with a dual colour design made from TTC red shaft and ABS materials. The keyboard, retaining the dimensions at 35358mm x 128mm x 31.6mm and weighing 940g, has a six layer design and the body made of H32 aluminium alloy steel with an excellent finish and offers more wear resistance.
The second-generation Yuemi mechanical board also comes with four different levels of LED backlight. It has a built-in 32-bit ARM main control chip, 1000Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time and support for up to 11 key presses without contradictions.
It adopts a USB Type-C interface connection and works by the simple plug and play pattern.
