After launching Ninebot mini, a two-wheeled self-balancing scooter and Qicycle Electric Folding Bike in 2016, Xiaomi has recently ventured into the electric vehicle category and has launched Mi Electric Scooter on Monday December 12.
The company released a teaser of the bike last week, and now it is launched on the company’s MIJIA crowdfunding platform in its base country, China. Xiaomi builds Mi Electric Scooter with a sleek aircraft grade aluminium alloy body and a foldable design. Available at a price of CNY 1,999, the electric scooter will be commercially launched in the China market from Dec 15.
As far as the scooter’s technical details are concerned, it comes with a top speed of 25 kmph and sports a LG 1,850 EV-lithium ion battery with battery capacity of 280 Wh. The Mi Electric Scooter is equipped with E-ABS anti-lock braking system along with a double disc braking system to ensure safety and facilitate a smooth and quick stop whenever required.

The scooter comes with a smart foldable design that allows users to fold it with just the press of a button. The Mi Electric Scooter folds in 3 seconds to make it a portable and compact travel companion. The tech savvy electric scooter allows its riders to connect it with their smartphone via Bluetooth to keep track of your rides and for other functionalities. The Electric Scooter would be available in two colour variants of White and Black.
