While having its roots firmly anchored in Brazil, Wyda Packaging South Africa is increasingly expanding its business in the African continent with top quality aluminium foil products and services. In October 2020, Wyda South Africa launched an online factory outlet for companies requiring small quantities. So, now all its aluminium foil products are available online for convenient shopping.In 2016, Wyda Packaging first established its first foreign subsidiary outside Brazil in Johannesburg.
Wyda Packaging South Africa focuses on the production of disposable aluminium foil containers in various shapes. It also supplies light and heavy-duty aluminium foil for the food products and catering industry. For spreading their wings further in South Africa, the company may call on Wyda Brazil, which produces PVC products from cling-wrap to household gloves.
Carlos Schütte, managing partner of Wyda SA, said: “We started our venture in South Africa in collaboration with our Brazilian partners, to produce packaging that preserves the quality of its intended content.”
He added, “While our products are locally manufactured, we can rely on our partners in Brazil and their in-depth expertise when it comes to production, range and new products.”

Wyda’s advantage in both Brazil and South Africa lies in its strategic procurement of raw materials, product agility, sales schedules, and accurate logistics. With turnover increasing by 500 per cent over the year, Wyda South Africa has moved its offices, production, warehousing to a 80m2 complex in Spartan, Kempton Park. Wyda SA plans for further expansion to improve logistics and optimise production, which is currently standing at a maximum capacity of 120,000 to 150,000 units per day.
