
Vedanta has slashed its aluminium products price for the two days in a row. With effect from Tuesday July 20 2021, the prices of some aluminium ingots came in at INR 212,250-225,250 per tonne, down by more than 2% or INR 5,000 per tonne from INR 217,250-230,250 per tonne on July 16.

The billets price dropped by INR 5,000 per tonne or 2.22% to INR 220,250 per tonne on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. The price was INR 225,250 per tonne on Friday, July 16 2021.
The Indian aluminium producers generally link prices of its products to the three-month futures of aluminium on London Metal Exchange. The aluminium price stood at US$ 2425 per tonne on July 19 from US$ 2493 per tonne on July 16.
Vedanta’s aluminium business typically accounts for one-third of the company’s consolidated sales. Vedanta has a stake in Bharat Aluminium Co Ltd and smelters at Jharsuguda in Odisha. It commands a 40% share in India's primary aluminium market.
