
Vedanta has cut its aluminium products price after raising it for the two days in a row. With effect from Friday July 16 2021, the prices of some aluminium ingots stood at INR 217,250-230,250 per tonne, a drop of by INR 1,250 per tonne from INR 218,500-231,500 per tonne on July 15.

The billets price stands at INR 225,250 per tonne on Friday, July 16 2021. This marks a decrease of 0.55% or INR 1,250 per tonne from INR 226,500 per tonne on July 15.
The Indian aluminium producers generally link prices of its products to the three-month futures of aluminium on London Metal Exchange. The aluminium price stood at US$ 2493 per tonne on July 16 from US$ 2495per tonne on July 15.
Vedanta’s aluminium business typically accounts for one-third of the company’s consolidated sales. Vedanta has a stake in Bharat Aluminium Co Ltd and smelters at Jharsuguda in Odisha. It commands a 40% share in India's primary aluminium market.
