
On December 2021, US exported 18,400 tonnes of aluminium plates, sheets and bars to Mexico, found the US Geological Survey (USGS). On a month-on-month scale, the country witnessed plunge of 2,400 per tonne or 11.53%. In November 2021, 20,800 tonnes of US aluminium plates, sheets and bars was exported to Mexico, showing a fall of 500 tonnes or 2.46% from 20,300 tonnes in October 2021.

On a year-on-year calculation, US aluminium plates, sheets and bars exported to Mexico further declined by 2,900 tonnes or 13.61% from 21,300 tonnes in December 2020, shows USGS.
From January to December, the exported aluminium plates, sheets and bars closed at 264,000 tonnes. For the same period last year, the amount registered at 265,000 tonnes.
According to the USGS statistics, the total amount of plates, sheets, bars, crude metals and alloys, and scrap exported to Mexico in December 2021 closed at 37,200 tonnes, which nosedived by 9,100 tonnes year-on-year. In December 2020, the total amount recorded at 46,300 tonnes.
