According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the United States exported 53,100 tonnes of US aluminium scrap in November to Malaysia, depicting a month-on-month escalation of 4,400 per tonne or by 9.03%. In October 2021, 48,700 tonnes of US aluminium scrap were exported to Malaysia, showing a hike of 7,500 tonnes from 41,200 tonnes in September 2021.
On a year-on-year calculation, US aluminium scrap exported to Malaysia in November 2021 ascended by 8,800 tonnes or by 19.86% from 44,300 tonnes in November 2020.
From January to November, the exported aluminium scrap to Malaysia closed at 481,000 tonnes. For the same period last year, the amount registered at 382,000 tonnes.
According to the data shared by the USGS, the total amount of aluminium plates, sheets, bars, crude metals and alloys, and scrap, exported to Malaysia for November totalled at 53,400 tonnes, showing a year-on-year surge of 8,900 tonnes. The total amount for November 2020 closed at 44,500 tonnes.
