
The US Geological Survey found the United States aluminium scrap exports to India continued to rise in October 2020 as well. From 35,500 tonnes in September, the exports grew to 38,700 tonnes, an increase of 9 per cent month-on-month. On a year-on-year calculation, the exports in October soared by 90.64 per cent from 20,300 tonnes.

The US aluminium scrap exports to India in September 2020 increased by 31.48 per cent month-on-month from 27,000 tonnes, while in August grew by 24.42 per cent from 21,700 tonnes in July 2020.
In the entire ten months of 2020, the United States aluminium scrap exports to India totalled 246,000 tonnes, up by 13.36 per cent from 217,000 tonnes during the same period last year.
The United States total aluminium scrap exports in October 2020 came in at 184,000 tonnes, bringing the ten months exports to 1.520 million tonnes, down by 3.18 per cent from 1.570 million tonnes year-on-year.
On a month-on-month basis, the US aluminium scrap exports in October stood 16.46 per cent higher than 158,000 tonnes, while over the year by 17.20 per cent from 157,000 tonnes.
