US aluminium scrap export to Mexico plummets by 1,400 tonnes Y-o-Y in November 2021

According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the United States exported 15,200 tonnes of US aluminium scrap to Mexico in November, showing a month-on-month growth of 2,100 tonnes or by 16.03%. In October 2021, 13,100 tonnes of US aluminium scrap was exported to Mexico, highlighting decline of 200 tonnes from 13,300 tonnes in September 2021.

On a year-on-year calculation, US aluminium scrap exported to Mexico in November 2021 dropped by 1,400 tonnes from 16,600 tonnes in November 2020.

From January to November, the exported aluminium scrap to Mexico pegged at 156,000 tonnes. For the same period last year, the amount recorded at 136,000 tonnes.

Based on the data from the USGS, the total amount of aluminium plates, sheets, bars, crude metals and alloys, and scrap, exported to Mexico for November 2021 scored at 43,600 tonnes, showing a year-on-year downfall of 6,300 tonnes. The total amount for November 2020 came in at 49,900 tonnes.
