According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the United States exported 48,700 tonnes of US aluminium scrap to Malaysia, showing a month-on-month growth of 7,500 per tonne or 18.20%. In September 2021, 41,200 tonnes of US aluminium scrap were exported to Malaysia, showing a sharp downfall of 15,700 tonnes from 56,900 tonnes in August 2021.
On a year-on-year calculation, US aluminium scrap exported to Malaysia in October 2021 moved up by 3,900 tonnes or 8.70% from 44,800 tonnes in October 2020.
From January to October, the exported aluminium scrap to Malaysia closed at 428,000 tonnes. For the same period last year, the amount was registered at 44,800 tonnes.
As per the data shared by the USGS, the total amount of aluminium plates, sheets, bars, crude metals and alloys, and scrap, exported to Malaysia for October 2021 settled at 49,000 tonnes, showing a year-on-year ascend of 3,500 tonnes. The total amount for October 2020 recorded at 45,500 tonnes.
