In September 2022, the United States exported 15,000 tonnes of aluminium plates, sheets and bars to Mexico, down by 1,300 tonnes or 8 per cent month-on-month from 16,300 tonnes, found the US Census Bureau. That brought the United States total exports in Q3 to Mexico at 45,900 tonnes, up by 7,600 tonnes or 19.84 per cent from 38,300 tonnes a quarter ago.
On a year-on-year calculation, the United States’ aluminium plates, sheets and bars exports to Mexico in September 2022 edged a fall of 32.13 per cent from 22,100 tonnes.
From January to September 2022, the United States exported 119,000 tonnes of aluminium plates, sheets and bars to Mexico, down by tonnes or 41.67 per cent from 204,000 tonnes during the corresponding period of the same year.
The United States total aluminium plates, sheets and bars exports amounted to 41,400 tonnes in September 2022, registering a decline of 1,700 tonnes or 3.94 per cent from 43,100 tonnes a month ago and a plunge of tonnes or 16.70 per cent from 49,700 tonnes a year earlier.
