US aluminium plates, sheets and bars export to Canada slumps by 19.79% Y-o-Y in October 2021

According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the United States exported 23,100 tonnes US aluminium plates, sheets and bars to Canada in October 2021, showing a month-on-month plunge of 800 per tonne or 3.34%. In September 2021, 23,900 tonnes of US aluminium plates, sheets and bars were exported to Canada, showing a sharp decline of 2,700 per tonne from 26,600 tonnes in August 2021.

On a year-on-year calculation, US aluminium plates, sheets and bar exported to Canada in October 2021 nosedived by 5,700 tonnes or by 19.79% from 28,800 in October 2020.

From January to October, the exported aluminium plates, sheets and bars to Canada pegged at 250,000 tonnes. For the same period last year, the amount had summed up to 249,000 tonnes.

As per the data shared by the USGS, the total amount of aluminium plates, sheets, bars, crude metals and alloys, and scrap, exported to Canada for October 2021 registered at 38,500 tonnes, showing a year-on-year slump of 1,400 tonnes. The total amount for October 2020 recorded at 39,900 tonnes.
