
According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the United States imported 219,000 tonnes of US aluminium crude metals and alloys from Canada in August 2021, showing a month-on-month ascend of 6000 tonnes or by 2.81 percent. In July 2021, 213,000 tonnes of aluminium crude metals and alloys were imported from Canada, highlighting a decrease of 1.84 percent from 217,000 tonnes in June 2021.

On a year-on-year calculation, US aluminium crude metals and alloys imported from Canada in August 2021, soared up by 14,000 tonnes or by 6.82 percent from 205,000 tonnes.
From January to August 2021, the imported aluminium crude metals and alloys by the United States closed at 1,660,000 tonnes. For the same period last year, the amount exported by Canada totalled at 1,680,000 tonnes.
Based on the data shared by the United States Geological Survey, the total amount of aluminium plates, sheets, bars, crude metals and alloys, and scrap imported from Canada for August 2021 stood at 278,000 tonnes. For the same period last year, the amount closed at 254,000 tonnes depicting an increase of 24,000 tonnes in 2021.
