
According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the United States imported 23,600 tonnes of US aluminium crude metals and alloys from Russia in October 2021, showing a month-on-month surge of 14,030 per tonne or by 146.60%. In September 2021, 9,570 tonnes of US aluminium crude metals and alloys were imported from Russia, showing a hike of 8,100 per tonne from 1,470 tonnes in August 2021.

On a year-on-year calculation, US aluminium crude metals and alloys imported from Russia in October moved up by 9,800 tonnes or by 71.01% from 13,800 tonnes.
From January to October, the imported aluminium crude metals and alloys from Russia pegged at 161,000 tonnes. For the same period last year, the amount was recorded at 92,700 tonnes.
According to the data shared by the USGS, the total amount of aluminium plates, sheets, bars, crude metals and alloys, and scrap, imported from Russia for October 2021 totalled at 24,500 tonnes, showing a year-on-year increase of 9,100 tonnes. The total amount recorded for October 2020 came in at 15,400 tonnes.
