
According to the United States Geological Survey, the US aluminium crude metal and alloys exports to Mexico saw a decline of 18 per cent in September. From 8,520 tonnes in August, the export volume reportedly came down to 6,970 tonnes in the succeeding month. The United States exports in July were 9,420 tonnes, which represent the fact that the export volume in August dropped by 9.5 per cent. However, the export in July remained flat, as that in June was 9,320 tonnes, according to the USGS data.

The total United States aluminium crude metal and alloys exports to Mexico in those four months were 34,230 tonnes, while that in the nine months 87,200 tonnes.
Year-on-year, the exports in September 2019 were down by 40 per cent from 11,600 tonnes to 6,970 tonnes. The exports during January-September were also down from 113,000 tonnes during the same period last year to 87,200 tonnes.
The United States total aluminium crude metal and alloys exports in September this year were down by 9.3 per cent month-on-month from 19,200 tonnes to 17,400 tonnes, while year-on-year by 24.34 per cent from 23,000 tonnes.
