UK’s independent aluminium recycler Alutrade Ltd appoints new Business Development Manager

Alutrade Ltd, the United Kingdom’s largest independent recycler of aluminium cans and extrusion, has appointed Paul Mason as Business Development Manager. Mr Mason, who has been working within the metals/recycling industry for more than 30 years, joined the position at Alutrade last month as a successor of Shaun Ford.

Mr Shaun served Alutrade for more than three decades and sadly breathed his last at the end of last year.

Paul Mason previously worked for HA Mason (Metals) Ltd, Metal & Waste Recycling, and Sims UK. His roles included Contract Manager, Non Ferrous Operations Manager and Sales Manager.

“To have a ‘man on the ground’ and first point of contact for merchants is vitally important, and I’m extremely pleased to be that person,” explained Paul.

He added, “It’s great to be part of the Alutrade team. Having dealt with them as a customer in the past, I know how highly the company is regarded within the trade. Hopefully, the coming months and years will see many of our new suppliers feeling the same way and reinforcing Alutrade’s industry-leading status.”
