Since the beginning of this year, the aluminium and aluminium alloy industry chain in Tongchuan has always regarded project construction as a strong engine to promote high-quality transformation and development. As a result, the production of electrolytic aluminium in October, the primary commodity, reached 253,600 tonnes, representing a 0.5 per cent rise Y-o-Y.
The production of aluminium materials reached 255,000 tonnes, showing a substantial year-on-year growth of 39.9 per cent. The year-on-year increase in large-scale firms' overall industrial output value is 16.1 per cent, making a significant contribution of 178.6 per cent to expanding the aluminium and aluminium alloy industry chain.
The city's aluminium and aluminium alloy industrial chain now includes 12 businesses, including the established and regulated Shaanxi Antai Metal New Materials Co., Ltd. and Gangchuan Haiyue New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. Despite a RMB 1579 per tonne decline in the average price of aluminium ingots from January to October compared to the previous year, the city's aluminium and aluminium alloy industrial chain maintained a healthy development trend.
The year-on-year increase in large-scale firms' total industrial output value was 4.6 per cent, with a month-on-month increase of 0.3 percentage points. The growth rate was 5.9 percentage points greater than the city's large-scale industry. The structure of the aluminium industry is continuously improving, with the share of aluminium deep processing in the aluminium and aluminium alloy industrial chain increasing from 51 per cent last year to 56.7 per cent.
The aluminium sector has expanded its supply chain by reinforcing its extension chain. This has been achieved via the recruitment of expert teams and other means. The industry has planned 21 packaging projects, with a total investment of RMB 19.83 billion. As a result, the total industrial output value has reached RMB 41.15 billion.
Shaanxi Nonferrous Metals Group's four aluminium industry extension projects are progressing steadily, with an annual output value of RMB 5.1 billion, including 20,000 tonnes of aluminium powder and aluminium alloy powder, 30,000 tonnes of refined aluminium, 300,000 tonnes of high-end aluminium junction (100,000 tonnes in the first phase), and 1 million automobile cylinder heads.
Shangjude Aluminium Products Production and Processing Base in High-tech Zone, with an annual production value of RMB 50 million, has been completed and put into service. Daqin's 60,000-ton secondary aluminium technological transformation project will hasten construction with a new production value of RMB 1.5 billion.
