Dubbed "Chitty Chitty Can Can" through a public poll on social media, their soapbox resembles a recycling collection truck with a stylish twist. Resembling a recycling collection truck with a style twist, their soapbox is a sight to behold. It boasts a striking paint job, chrome engine pipes, and a plush fur interior, all designed to make it a standout on the track. Every Can Counts has left no stone unturned to ensure that their soapbox piques everyone's curiosity during the race.

Every Can Counts' Programme Manager, Chris Latham-Warde, will take the driver's seat in their soapbox cart, which will be evaluated based on creativity, speed, and showmanship. As a passenger, Chief Director Tom Giddings will join Chris as they navigate the downhill course near Alexandra Palace.

In a creative nod to promoting the recyclability of drink cans, Tom will sport a vibrant homemade suit crafted from more than 350 aluminium cans. This distinctive attire aims to draw attention to their cause while adding a unique flair to their participation in the event.

"As they enjoy the race, we hope spectators will take action to learn more about what they can do to contribute to the UK's drink can recycling rate, which hit a record 10.7 billion cans being collected for recycling in 2023," added Tom.

Every Can Counts represents a distinctive alliance comprising aluminium drink can manufacturers, fillers, and the broader recycling industry, united in their mission to achieve a 100 per cent recycling rate for drink cans (aluminium cans and others). This initiative offers complimentary recycling assistance to businesses and organisations across the United Kingdom, aiming to enhance and promote the recycling of drink cans nationwide.

Tom Giddings, Executive Director for Every Can Counts, stated, "The Red Bull Soapbox Race is a date we always mark in our calendars, and our team couldn't be more excited to take part this year. In our recycling collection truck themed soapbox, we're hoping we will be crowned winners of the race as well as draw attention to the topic of recycling. Aluminium can be recycled time and time again without loss of quality, and every empty drink can that is recycled can be back on sale as a brand-new can in just 60 days."
