Three-month LME aluminium up by 2.08% to settle at US$2,455/t; SHFE aluminium slipped 1.3%
Three-month LME aluminium went up 2.08% to settle at US$2,455 per tonne last Friday night, with open interest up 7,236 lots to 720,000 lots. SMM expects the contract to trade between US$2,400-2,470 per tonne today.
As of Friday, June 4, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 2412.50 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 2412.50 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 2426.50 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 2426.50 per tonne; Dec 22 bid price stands at US$ 2433.50per tonne, and Dec 22 offer price stands at US$ 2433.50 per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1676100 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1108100 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 568000 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 2402.66per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE increased to stand at US$ 2897 per tonne on Monday, 07 June 2021.
The most-liquid SHFE 2107 aluminium contract finished the day 1.3% lower at RMB18,280 per tonne on Friday. Open interest fell 3,459 lots to 202,421 lots.
The most active SHFE 2107 aluminium contract inched up 0.82% to close at RMB18,450 per tonne in the overnight trading of last Friday. The contract is expected to rebound and trade between RMB18,300-18,600 per tonne today.
