
The US dollar fell on Monday. Overnight, LME and SHFE base metals closed mostly higher. LME aluminium added 0.95% and SHFE aluminium increased 0.96%.
Three-month LME aluminium rebounded after initially falling to a session low of US$1,581.5 per tonne. It ended up 0.95% on the day at US$1,601 per tonne.

As of Monday June 22, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 1573 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 1573 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 1590.50 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 1590.50 per tonne; Dec 21 bid price stands at US$ 1696 per tonne, and Dec 21 offer price stands at US$ 1696 per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1617825 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1420600 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 197225 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 1588.46 per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE increased to stand at US$ 1953 per tonne on Tuesday, 23 June 2020.
The most-liquid SHFE contract hit to a session high of RMB13,750 per tonne, before the contract ended 1.07% higher on the day at RMB13,695 per tonne.
The most-active SHFE August contract jumped to a session high of RMB13,750 per tonne. It ended the day higher at RMB13,730 per tonne. The contract may hover between RMB13,640-13,850 per tonne today.
