Three-month LME aluminium closed Tuesday’s trading at US$1,818.5/t; SHFE aluminium decreased 0.27%

Three-month LME aluminium rose 1.14% to end at US$1,818.5 per tonne on Tuesday. The contract is expected to fluctuate at high levels today amid the weak US dollar index.

As of Tuesday September 1, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 1781.50 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 1781.50 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 1818 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 1818 per tonne; Dec 21 bid price stands at US$ 1892.50per tonne, and Dec 21 offer price stands at US$ 1892.50 per tonne.

The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1550225 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1321575 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 228650 tonnes.

LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 1810.84per tonne.

SHFE Aluminium Price Trend

Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE decreased to stand at US$ 2122 per tonne on Wednesday, September 2 2020.

The most-liquid SHFE 2010 aluminium contract ended 0.27% lower at RMB14,555 per tonne on Tuesday. Open interest increased 5,084 lots to 123,000 lots. The contract trended lower in overnight trading, falling 0.93% to close at RMB14,435 per tonne. The October contract is likely to move between RMB14,300-14,600 per tonne.
