Three-month LME aluminium closed higher at US$2,379.5/t on Friday; SHFE aluminium fell 1.76%
Three-month LME aluminium rose 0.32% to close at US$2,379.5 per tonne on Friday. SMM expects the contract to fluctuate between US$2,250-2,350 per tonne today.
As of Friday, May 21, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 2403 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 2403 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 2434 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 2434 per tonne; Dec 22 bid price stands at US$ 2435per tonne, and Dec 22 offer price stands at US$ 2435 per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1750350 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1178250 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 572100 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 2364.85per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE decreased to stand at US$ 2835 per tonne on Monday, 24 May 2021.
The most-active SHFE 2107 aluminium contract slid 1.76% to close the day at RMB18,710 per tonne on Friday. The most-liquid SHFE 2107 aluminium contract fell 0.11% to settle at RMB18,745 per tonne on Friday night. It is likely to trade between 17,800-18,200 today.
