The UK’s aluminium can import has been showing some upward trend. This has not been a sudden growth; rather it has been reflecting a steady inclination.
From 2017 to 2020 the UK’s import of aluminium can have been accounted to 15.11 tonnes in total, which amounted to $506 million. This shows a positive sign towards the aluminium can exporters to the UK.
In 2017 the total import was 2.76 tonnes which amounted to $ 117 million. Again in 2018, the aluminium can import raised to 3.87tonnes which were posted at $105 million with a growth of 28.75%. Though there is a decrease of $12 million in payment of foreign revenue.
The aluminium can import in 2019 shows an upward trend by posting 3.97tonnes which amounted to $154 million. When compared to 2018 there is a growth of 0.05%, though it’s a very slight rise, the amount rose to $49 million, as a case of the price hike.
The year 2020 has been showing a positive trend towards aluminium cans import with 4.56 tonnes, a growth of 14.03%. The amount reflecting is $130 million which is lowering the foreign revenue payment by $30 million from the previous year. This is due to the fall in the price, which has gained the interest of importing aluminium cans in the UK.
