The demand for aluminium in Romania has been showing a positive mark due to the auto industry, electronics, and electrical products industry, etc. The Romanian import market for has been reflecting unsettled during 2017-2019, as the total import volume stood at 4.44 million tonnes and the expenditure remained at $158.53 million.
{alcircleadd}The projected import volume for 2020 stood at 1.37 million tonnes and the foreign revenue expenditure to stand at $54.36 million. When added the figures with the previous three years it reflects 5.81 million tonnes and $212.89 million.
Romania’s major bauxite trading importation countries are China, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Netherlands, Sierra Leone, Turkey, etc.
In 2017 the total bauxite export of Romania stood at 1.09 million tonnes and the foreign revenue expenditure stood at $37.30 million, whereas in 2018 there was a steep rise by 66.05% in volume, as the total import stood at 1.81 million tonnes and the expenditure rose to $60.74 million, with Y-o-Y in cost by $23.44 million.
The Romanian export for bauxite in 2019 saw a dip of 14.91%, as the total import recorded was 1.54 million tonnes and the revenue expenditure stood at $60.49 million.
The projected for 2020 import again has been analyzed a dip by 11.03%, as the export might be remaining at 1.37 million tonnes.
