
Taiwan’s aluminium scrap imports from the United States in the second half of the fiscal year (H2) augmented by 5,160 tonnes or 35.14 percent from 14,680 tonnes in H1. In the second half of the fiscal year, US exported a total of 19,840 tonnes of aluminium scrap to Taiwan.

In December 2021, Taiwan’s aluminium scrap imports from the United States highlighted a jump of 830 tonnes or 20.75 percent to peg at 4,830 tonnes. In November, Taiwan’s aluminium scrap imports from the US settled at 4,000 tonnes, up by 320 tonnes or 8.69 percent from 3,680 tonnes in October.
For the same year in September, US exported 2,480 tonnes of aluminium scrap to Taiwan, showing a growth of 1,200 tonnes or 48.38 percent in October 2021. In October, a total of 3,680 tonnes of US aluminium scrap was exported to Taiwan.
In September 2021, Taiwan’s aluminium scrap imports from the United States marched ahead by 70 tonnes or 2.90 percent to close at 2,480 tonnes. In August, a total of 2,410 tonnes of aluminium scrap was exported to Taiwan, showing a fall of 30 tonnes or 1.22 percent from 2,440 tonnes in July 2021.
