
Suzlon Group, a company that provides renewable energy solutions, announced on December 21, that it has secured a contract from KP Group to develop a significant 193.2-MW wind energy project in Gujarat. The new order is part of a wind-solar hybrid and STU's (State Transmission Utility) tariff-based project for increasing renewable energy contribution in Gujarat.

Under the agreement, Suzlon Group will supply 92 units of its S120 - 2.1 MW Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) with a 140m Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower at Vagra and Vilayat in Bharuch district of Gujarat.
Benefits of this wind energy project
This project will help curtail carbon emissions and provide clean energy to the people of Gujarat. The WTGs will be equipped with advanced technology that will ensure efficient and reliable power generation, benefitting the renewable energy sector in India.
This massive project has the potential to provide electricity to a whopping 1.25 lakh households. Not only that, but it can also help curb 4.96 lakh tonnes of CO2 emissions per year. It was announced that Suzlon would carry out the project, including supply, supervision, commissioning, post-commissioning operation and maintenance services.

J P Chalasani, Chief Executive Officer, Suzlon Group, confidently stated that this is a repeat order from the KP Group, and the power generated from this project will undoubtedly serve the commercial and industrial consumer segments as well as the people of Gujarat with clean, green, and renewable energy.
The Managing Director and Chairman of KP Group, Farukbhai Gulambhai Patel, stated that the project is aligned with the company's aim of bolstering India's renewable energy potential and powering the commercial and industrial departments.
