This week was the busiest time for the global aluminium industry. The United Nations Climate Change Conference, or COP28, was recently held. The conference saw a shift towards digital software, particularly in the aluminium industry and other sectors like oil and gas. Vedanta Aluminium, India's largest producer, is committed to providing sustainable and high-quality aluminium for a better future. The company is accelerating its efforts to achieve Net Zero by 2050 and is playing a significant role in helping economies decarbonize their value chains. GenHydro, a green technology company, started a pilot project to produce green hydrogen and clean energy from waste material. The energy produced will be supplied to BURLE Business Park in Lancaster. Aludium signed a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Statkraft, Europe's largest renewable energy generator, to benefit both companies.
