On July 11, Duan Xiangdong, Secretary of the Party Group and Chairman of Aluminum Corporation of China (Chinalco Group) had an in-depth conversation with Dr. Wu Lei, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shanghai Electric Group. The talks focused on deepening their cooperation and advancing high-quality development, resulting in several significant agreements.

Chinalco’s upcoming works in progress
Duan Xiangdong welcomed Dr. Wu Lei and his delegation, providing an overview of Chinalco Group's current operations and future development plans. He emphasised that as a key state-owned enterprise, Chinalco Group is actively expanding its new energy materials business and is dedicated to establishing a clean, low-carbon energy system.
Wu Lei presented the industrial layout and operations of Shanghai Electric, highlighting the complementary strengths shared with Chinalco Group. He emphasised Shanghai Electric's commitment to aligning with national strategic initiatives and expressed a willingness to collaborate closely with Chinalco Group.
