Spot aluminum was mainly traded between RMB 15,460-15,470/mt in Shanghai on Tuesday, with discounts between RMB 80-70/mt. Low-iron aluminum was traded between 15,540-15,550/mt. Although the most active SHFE aluminum contract prices rose much slower than other base metals, cargo holders held quotations firm as they believe demand for stock replenishment will grow ahead of the upcoming holidays in China. Dip-buying was reported among downstream producers, improving overall trading.
