
South Korea's imports of aluminium scrap from the US stood at 22,400 tonnes in February 2021, indicating a decrease of 5.49% from 23,700 tonnes in February 2020. On a monthly basis, imports declined by 2.18% from 22,900 tonnes in January 2021, as updated by the US Census Bureau.

In the first two months of 2021, South Korea imported 45,300 tonnes of aluminium scrap, from 46,000 tonnes imported in the first two months of 2020. That was down by 700 tonnes and 1.52% year-on-year.
South Korea's imports of total aluminium (semi-finished products, crude metals and alloy and scrap) from the US were 23,500 tonnes in February 2021. That marked a drop of 9.62% from 26,000 tonnes in February 2020 and 3.69% from 24,400 tonnes in January 2021.
In the first two months of 2021, total imports came in at 47,900 tonnes, from 50,700 tonnes imported in in the first two months of 2020, representing a slip of 5.52% year-on-year.
