Showa Aluminium Can Corporation (SAC), a consolidated subsidiary of Showa Denko (SDK), and Carabao Group Public Company Limited (CBG), a leading beverage maker in Bangkok, have established a joint corporation “Asia Pacific Can Company Limited” (APC), and had a foundation stone-laying ceremony. The joint corporation APC will manufacture and sell aluminium cans.
In March this year, SAC signed a partnership agreement with CBG with an investment of 700 million bahts to manufacture and sell aluminium cans in Chachoengsao Province, Bangkok. The aluminium can plant will have a production capacity of 1 billion cans per annum. The operations are expected to start in October 2018.
According to the company, “APC will mainly manufacture aluminium cans for CBG’s beverages for export from Thailand. CBG aims to expand its overseas sales, centering on Southeast Asian countries, China and the United Kingdom”.
