
On Tuesday, January 18, the benchmark aluminium price has gone down by US$3 per tonne or by 0.90% to close at US$3,328 per tonne.

The most-traded SHFE 2202 aluminium closed down 0.49% or RMB 105 per tonne to RMB 21125 per tonne, with open interest down 10276 lots to 144673 lots.
During the night session, the most-traded SHFE aluminium contract opened at RMB 21.060 per tonne, with the highest and lowest prices at RMB 21,185 per tonne and RMB 21,015 per tonne before closing at RMB 21,075 per tonne, up RMB 5 per tonne or 0.02%.
LME aluminium price
LME aluminium opened at US$2,986 per tonne last night and closed at US$3,000 per tonne, an increase of US$13 per tonne or 0.44%.

On Monday, January 17, LME aluminium cash (bid) price climbed up by US$31 per tonne or by 1.04% to stand at US$3,008 per tonne. On the other hand, LME aluminium official settlement price also showed a hike of 31.5 per tonne or by 1.05% to register at US$3,009 per tonne. December 23 bid price and December 23 offer price for the same day stood at US$2,725 per tonne and US$2,730 per tonne. 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price settled at US$2,994 per tonne and US$2,996 per tonne, for the same day, respectively.
LME aluminium opening stock was recorded at 892800 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants stood at 488025 tonnes and 404775 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price totalled at US$3,019.68 per tonne.
