Schuler group, the world's largest press manufacturer, entered into a partnership agreement with Japan’s DWI Bottle Cans specialist TMC. The reason behind the move is the rising demand for Drawing and Wall Ironing (DWI) bottle cans.
The Drawing and Wall Ironing (DWI) is used in the production of bottle cans as they require fewer materials than former extruded bottles. Specialists predict that such aluminium bottles will be produced more in the future over aerosol cans. The trend has grown from Japan to the USA and now also to China.
Schuler managing director Johannes Linden, who heads the "Systems" division said, "TMC brings its tool and process know-how to the cooperation and we have our experience with the construction of metal packaging presses as well as our worldwide service offer.”

Schuler is taking over the trade representation for TMC’s bottle necker in Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.
