The Bengaluru, India headquartered, a high precision component producer, Sansera Engineering is in the vicinity to bag its first order from BMW Motorrad worth around INR 300-400 crore towards the supply of aluminium forging components, according to the industry experts.
However, the deal from the motorcycle brand BMW will be a testament to the organization’s capability to produce small aluminium forged components and probable support it secures more high-value orders from other promising global customers.
Furthermore, apart from the incremental business, the deal for high margin aluminium forged components will append to its bottom line. As per our report from the industry experts, the official declaration is anticipated to happen within the next 7 days.
Sansera’s order book reveals outstanding INR 1,400 crore orders already exist, across 49 customers in auto and 30 from non-auto sectors. Although, 9% of these outstanding orders are from electric vehicles and fuel-agnostic solutions. During the previous fiscal year, EV and fuel agnostic solutions accounted for 5% of revenue. The company plans to augment this to 15% in the coming years, as per its December quarter presentation.
The engineering-led integrated manufacturer of complex components for the automotive sector, Sansera Engineering will be providing aluminium forging components primarily for the latest models of BMW Motorrad. It has been denoted that there will be more than 20 aluminium forging components to BMW Motorrad which will be heavily used in suspension and chassis systems.
Therefore these aluminium forging components manufactured will be powertrain-agnostic and will be furnished in the upcoming models for internal combustion engines as well as for EVs.
Sansera, one of the top suppliers to the light vehicle segment has been already supplying aluminium forging parts to KTM and Husqvarna and projects to expand its powertrain-agnostic revenue share as the global automotive industry is steering towards light-weighting to fulfil new strict emission standards and widening the range for electric vehicles.
