Safety mock drill held at Utkal Alumina to train employees for industrial emergencies

According to a recent report, a full-scale safety mock drill was held at the alumina refinery of Utkal Alumina International Limited (UAIL) on Monday, December 23, complying with the decision of the District Crisis Group (DCG).

Drill happens at a regular interval at UAIL for preparing employees for the emergency and various industrial crises and also for training them to avoid and escape from any hazardous industrial accidents.

The drill on Monday was supervised by the members of DCG and Factory and Broiler Assistant Director Ranjit Naik, Rayagada District Fire Office K Somani, J.K Paper Mills MD Avesh, DK Samal, RR Biswal and Doraguda PS ASI AK Khillo.

The unit head and president N Nagesh said drill any kind of feedback about the mock drill would be taken from the external team for further improvement in the process of safety and emergency preparedness.

Somani, expressing his appreciation about the efforts of the employees and the entire team of the drill said, holding such exercises on a regular basis is important as this kind of practice session would make the team prepared for real crises.
