
Russia’s exports of crude metals and alloys to the US came in at 3,380 tonnes in August 2020, a decrease of 56% year-on-year. The Russia had exported 7,680 tonnes to the US in August 2019, according to the latest Mineral Industry Survey report from the US Geological Survey.

On a month on month comparison, exports dropped by 25.22% from 4,520 tonnes. Exports of crude metals and alloys reduced by 35% from June’s exports of 5,170 tonnes.
In the first eight months of 2020, exports stood at 77,8 00 tonnes as compared to 125,000 tonnes in the first eight months of 2019. This marked a decrease of 38% year-on-year or 47,200 tonnes.
Russia’s exports of total aluminium (crude metal and alloys, semi-finished products and scrap) to the USA stood at 5,000 tonnes and 92,500 tonnes in August and January-August, marking a decrease of 40% year-on-year and 93% year-on-year. Exports in August were down 23% month-on-month.
