The economy of Romania is a fast developing, upper middle income mixed economy with a very high Human Development Index and a skilled labour force, ranked 15th in the European Union by total nominal GDP and 10th largest when adjusted by purchasing power parity.

{alcircleadd}The aluminium alloy importation of Romania during 2017-19 was recorded at 212,908 tonnes as volume and the expenditure occurred stood at $362.47 million. The projected import volume for 2020 has also been analysed with growth as the volume of import might stand to 82,598 tonnes and the expenditure might fall to $119.10 million. When the analysed import volume and expenditure of 2020 gets summed with the preceding three years it reflects 295,506 tonnes and $481.57 million respectively.
Romania’s aluminium alloy importation in 2017 stood 51,441 tonnes and the expenditure remained at $143.71 million, whereas in 2018 the bauxite importation saw growth by 57.55% as the import volume stood at 81,050 tonnes and the expenditure shot up to $143.71 million.
In 2019 the import volume stood at 80,417 tonnes and the expenditure remained at $130.06 million, whereas in 2020 the analysed import volume is reflected with growth by 2.71%, as the volume might reach to 82,598 tonnes, though the expenditure is expected to fall at $119.10 million.
The major export trading nations for Romania’s aluminium alloy are Albania, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Rep., Cyrus, Germany, France, Hungary, etc.
