Like, the Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD) plans to install reverse vending machines around the Emirate to increase the recycling of commodities such as aluminium and plastic. Also, the Fergus Curling Club is initiating a multi-stage fundraising drive to replace the ice machine and concrete pad. The first part of our fundraising campaign, ABC's 4 FCC, kicks off on June 21. Under this initiative, the club requested that people save their aluminium cans, bottles and other recyclable items for recycling. Aluminium can recycling holds 95 per cent of the energy necessary to produce the same quantity of aluminium from its virgin source. Stellantis, Peugeot, Citroen, and Vauxhall's brands, have joined metal recycling specialist Galloo to boost its circular economy and attain net zero aims by 2038.

With October 2025 being envisaged as the earliest feasible 'go live' date for the Scottish deposit return scheme (DRS), the scheme's implementation will likely be coordinated with similar ideas for other regions of the UK. Tesco Ireland has officially begun Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) testing for aluminium cans, PET plastic drink bottles and steel drink cans at its Extra Store in Drogheda and Malahide Express. While Scotland's deposit return scheme is now facing a two-year delay, retailers in Ireland are moving on with testing in preparation for DRS, which will begin in February 2024.

RMIT Europe, a global university of technology, design and enterprise, has received funding of AU$434K from the EU Research Fund for Coal & Steel (RFCS) for its new research project ALCOAT. ALCOAT is a 42-month project to develop two new families of aluminium alloy coatings by recycling metal scrap destined for landfill.
Stellantis, the proprietary brand for Peugeot, Citroen and Vauxhall, has partnered with metal recycling firm Galloo to improve its circular economy and achieve its net zero targets by 2038. The joint venture involves purchasing and refurbishing aluminium parts from end-of-life vehicles that have been involved in crashes.

The Indian price chart of imported aluminium scrap has recently projected significant ups and downs, with various grades experiencing highs and lows. The biggest noticeable spike has been US$40 per tonne, while the greatest drop was US$80 per tonne compared to the week gone by.
The domestic aluminium scrap market remained stable. Price alternations by important industry participants had little impact on the market. Stress grade scrap was recorded at INR 163,000 per tonne, while utensil prices were INR 173,500 per tonne exy-Delhi.
