Promex CYRUS uses AI to carry out inline surface inspection of aluminium profiles

ASCONA and D-CUBE announced a strategic alliance and the release of a comprehensive solution for inline surface inspection of aluminium profiles. Based on artificial intelligence (AI), Promex CYRUS recognises and transforms many surface defects in real-time, independent of the extruded profile strands' shape, quantity, or size. Indicating a decline in surface quality and rejections, the press operator gets real-time notifications for repeated problems through an easy-to-use interface. Thanks to the valuable warning signals, the operator can take preventative action early. The system may identify bubbles, stop marks, snap marks, pickups, scratches, twists, tears, and rough surfaces.
