North America’s primary aluminium production increased by 6.08 per cent year-on-year to 314,000 tonnes in February 2020. The output fell by 4.85 per cent from January’s production of 330,000 tonnes. The output in the first two months of 2020 stood 3.54 per cent higher than the same period last year. Nordex, the European company that designs, sells and manufactures wind turbines has secured an order for the 400 MW Øyfjellet wind farm in northern Norway from a un-famed German investment house linked to a corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) with metals group Alcoa.
