
According to the Shanghai Metals Market, China’s social inventories of primary aluminium have continued to decline this week ending on Thursday, June 24. SMM data found the inventories fell 16,000 tonnes to come in at 874,000 tonnes compared to 890,000 tonnes last week on June 17.

In Wuxi, primary aluminium inventories have decreased by 17,000 tonnes from 347,000 tonnes last week to 330,000 tonnes on June 24. In Nanhai and Hangzhou, the inventories have declined by 3,000 tonnes and 1,000 tonnes to stand at 228,000 tonnes and 91,000 tonnes, respectively.
Meanwhile, in Shanghai, primary aluminium inventories have grown 3,000 tonnes to stand at 92,000 tonnes, while the inventories in Gongyi and Tianjin have gained 1,000 tonnes to settle at 55,000 tonnes and 62,000 tonnes, respectively. In Chongqing and Linyi, on the other hand, inventories have remained restrained at 3,000 tonnes and 13,000 tonnes.
