
Three-month LME aluminium increased 0.33 per cent to close at US$ 2,433 per tonne in the overnight trading yesterday, with open interest down 1,541 lots to 694,000 lots, and is expected to trade between US$ 2,400-2,460 per tonne today.

LME aluminium cash (bid) price and LME official settlement price extended growth by US$ 11 per tonne to come in at US$ 2,386.50 per tonne as of Wednesday, June 23. 3-months bid price and 3-months offer price stood at US$ 2,416 per tonne, up by US$ 13 per tonne from US$ 2,403 per tonne. Dec 22 bid price and Dec 22 offer price increased from US$ 2,387 per tonne on June 22 to US$ 2,397.50 per tonne on June 23.
LME aluminium opening stock decreased from 1623850 tonnes to 1616325 tonnes on June 23 after an intermediate increase in the previous day. Live Warrants totalled 946475 tonnes, while Cancelled Warrants stood at 669850 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price increased from US$ 2,412.80 per tonne on June 22 to US$ 2,418.79 per tonne on June 23.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE remained restrained at US$ 2,896 per tonne on Thursday, June 24.
The most-liquid SHFE 2107 aluminium contract finished the day 1.22 per cent higher at RMB 18,725 per tonne. Open interest fell 7,876 lots to 103,854 lots.
The most traded SHFE 2108 aluminium contract went up 0.72 per cent to end at RMB 18,850 per tonne last night, with open interest up 13,542 lots to 211,000 lots, and is expected to trade between RMB 18,600-19,000 per tonne today.
