Alcomet AD awarded 'Investor of the Year 2024' in the category 'Investments in Business Expansion'

On April 2, 2025, during an official ceremony organised by the Bulgarian Investment Agency, 'Alcomet AD' was honoured with the prestigious 'Investor of the Year 2024' award in the category 'Investment in Business Expansion'. The event took place at the 'Sofia Tech Park', in the 'John Atanasov' hall, and was attended by numerous official guests. The Prime Minister of Bulgaria, Rosen Zhelyazkov, as well as other government representatives were present.

The award was presented to 'Alcomet' by the Minister of Regional Development, Ivan Ivanov, who highlighted the company's significant contribution and its majority owner, Fikret Ince, "This is a person who not only changes the entire city but also laid the foundations of the industry in the whole region. I wish him many more awards because he leaves a legacy that will be a valuable asset to everyone working in the company, as well as to those who use its products.
 
'Alcomet AD' was recognised for its investments made in 2024, amounting to 30.4 million BGN, and the creation of 99 new jobs. In his acceptance speech, Fikret Ince emphasised the importance of Bulgaria as a preferred investment destination, "Our company has been part of Bulgaria for 25 years, during which we have invested over 450 million BGN. We continue with the ambition for new projects and expanding our production capacity, with over 95 per cent of our production already being exported to Europe and the USA. Bulgaria is an excellent country for investments."
 
The 'Investor of the Year' competition has been held for the 19th consecutive year and aims to recognise the most significant investment projects realised during the past year. It acknowledges the efforts of companies that, through sustainable and effective investments, create new jobs, introduce innovations, and contribute to intelligent and sustainable economic growth.
