PipeHawk PLC wins contract to supply automated assembly systems for JVM castings

On October 18, 2023, PipeHawk PLC announced that its subsidiary, QM Systems Ltd, had secured a contract with JVM Castings Ltd. This contract involves designing, manufacturing, and supplying a suite of automated systems for inserting and assembling self-piercing and clinch nuts into various automotive aluminium castings.

PipeHawk, a company headquartered in Hampshire, England, specialising in technology for the automotive, rail, aerospace industries, and highways, stated that this contract is expected to generate approximately GBP800,000 in revenue for QM. The project is slated for completion within PipeHawk's fiscal year, ending on June 30.

The project will leverage QM's most recent automation process, which combines assembly with error-proofing mechanisms to ensure the accurate production of assembled castings. JVM, the client in this contract, is based in Worcester, England, and is recognised as the United Kingdom's largest specialist in aluminium die-casting.

Gordon Watt, the Chairman of PipeHawk, said, "QM has formed a close partnership with JVM over the last 10 years and is JVM's go-to partner for the supply of the majority of their assembly equipment. Over the years, QM has provided JVM with a range of systems to assemble SPAC Nuts, SPAC Studs, Rivnuts, Rivstuds, as well as other components into a diverse range of castings utilised within the manufacture of automobiles with final supply into a number of original equipment manufacturer vehicle manufacturers," 

"It has been a pleasure to work closely with JVM over these last 10 years, and it is a testament to the service and support that QM offers its clients that JVM continues to work closely with QM for its casting assembly needs year after year."
